Purpose

To support continued voluntary participation of state and local government employers and employees in the Social Security program and oppose legislation to compel program participation.

Structure

The Coalition to Preserve Retirement Security is a not-for-profit Colorado corporation.

The CPRS Board of Directors consists of 15 members who represent various constituencies defined by the coalition's bylaws. All Board members are elected annually by the coalition's members.

CPRS officers - president, vice president and secretary-treasurer - are chosen annually by the Board of Directors.

Non-Statewide Public Employee Pension Plans
10 cents per active member not to be less than $500 nor more than $15,000.

Associations of Pension Plans
10 cents per active employee included in every member's pension plan not to be less than $1,000 nor more than $15,000.

Related Organizations, Such as Cities, Counties and Unions
10 cents per active employee/individual member, excluding the number included under another membership, not to be less than $500 nor more than $15,000.

Other Interested Parties
Non-voting associate memberships are available for $500 a year.
